5. Ben 10 Omniverse
This show didn't came from Japan however it was prompted as american anime and got huge response from Indians at initial days. Because the cartoon version of Ben 10 became a huge sensation in India. So cartoon network India decides to telecast ben 10 anime with huge promotions. Ben 10 omniverse aired in multiple Indian languages and recevied postive feedbacks from Indian kids.
cartoon network India will loop successful shows. This anime shares same fate and still old episode telecasted till today.
4. Shin Chan
This show became a surprise hit in India. This Japanese anime still aired in some Indian cartoon channels till today. This show didn't had a storyline but Indian voice actors did a wonderful job to make this anime so popular.
At this rate this anime can jump few places up in upcoming years. Currently this show stated very successful and may continue it's run for 2 to 3 years.
3. Pokemon
Pokemon became a successful anime in India in mid 2000s. This show shows the bond between pokemons and humans. The pokemon names really became popular and Indians stared to give pokemon names to their pets. This so became even famous after the game pokemon go.
2. Naruto and Naruto Shippudan
Naruto anime dubbed in 2006 in Indian languages and things went well till Ben 10 cartoon version release. After Ben 10 release, cartoon network India changed time slots much and after some weeks naruto not telecasted. Ben 10 is the actual reason of naruto's failure in late 2000s.
But naruto shippudan changed everything. The era of social networking also a reason for this drastic change. No Indian channels willing to telecast this wonderful series in India. But facebook,youtube and crunchyroll takes this show to every Indian home and every single naruto characters earned lot of Indian fans.
1. Dragon ball,z and super
Indians loves dragon ball series more than any anime series. Goku is the most popular anime character in India. dragon ball z was the prime time show of 2000s.Dragon ball was a decent anime, DBZ was wonderful and DBS now airing in cartoon network India. For some reasons GT not telecasted in India but Indians watched GT on internet.
DBZ introduced manga culture to Indians. Most of the Indians became anime fans after watching DBZ.
